Sunday is for Sunday best, and my new Ann Taylor necklace and Topshop earrings fit the bill.  I had such a nice day; it finally felt like spring and I enjoyed a yummy brunch at Café Fiorentina with great friends.  So if I was to show you anything today that matched my mood - precious pearls, sparkling gems and fresh flowers are it.  Here's to many more Sundays just like today!

Update - Sept. 11/12

(...my mom just informed me she engraved the watch herself years later, with an engraver she borrowed from work. The best part about THIS is she screwed up the date of her own anniversary - this from a woman who has the random talent of remembering the date of anyone's birth, death, anniversary or special event - family, distant cousin, celebrity or otherwise.  Her OWN anniversary!  Her 20th wedding anniversary was actually June 1, 1994.  God I love that woman!)

I have my mom to thank for giving me her vintage Gucci watch with interchangeable bezels.  And the best part about it?  I just noticed it's engraved - a gift from Dad to commemorate their 20th wedding anniversary.  Love!

Old Hollywood

I absolutely love my vintage Fire King serving dish from the 40s-50s. You can see I repurposed the dish to hold my everyday jewelry. The powder blue and gold accented dish reminded me of old hollywood glam. Had to have it! Plus, the seller on Etsy said she was happy to find a home for her grandmother's dish. Me too, me too!

I heart Nicole Richie's 70s inspired style. And I love that she almost always wears her own jewelry creations, no matter the occasion. Consequently, I've developed a weakness for it, owning quite a few of her pieces. As evident in her jewelry styling, Nicole truly knows what it means to "adorn". Needless to say, I'm a big fan!

I heart House of Harlow. I haven't yet spotted her pieces in Toronto, but word on the street tells me Holt Renfrew carries her jewelry. Nicole wears her creations brilliantly, especially when she's sporting simple loose-fitting shirts and dresses. A lover of loose-fit myself, Nicole's pieces are the eye-catching accessories I need to dress up my outfits. I am officially on the lookout!

Becky Kelso Jewelry

I fell in love with Becky Kelso jewelry when I came across her 14k yellow gold, fluorite ring. The signature filigree bezel of this ring reminds of me of the Victorian style iron work prominent in European architecture - one of the countless reasons why I adore Paris. I have since learned that Becky has designed jewelry for Banana Republic, which is not surprising to me because I've always loved Banana Republic jewelry specifically for the vintage style filigree in many of their pieces. I can't wait to own this ring someday! Becky's aesthetic is unique and heartfelt. Her passion is in the detail.

Paris by Hand

Wowza! I was flipping through the March issue of InStyle Magazine when I spotted this 18-carat gold and platinum ring by Philippe Tournaire.  The French jewelry designer created The Villa de Rêve Collection that features miniature replicas of our favorite architectural buildings and monuments from around the world. This ring takes my Paris obsession to a whole new level; my favorite feature is the unexpected placement of the Eiffel Tower tucked below the city.  I love the idea of shrinking the heart of Paris and holding it in the palm of your hand - or in this case - wrapping it around your finger!

All That Glitters

Oscar de la Renta's tulle sequin embroidered gown from his Spring 2010 RTW collection reminds me of gorgeous, color-rich, ornate Indian jewelry. The eye-catching colors, textures and sparkle are also the reasons why I love these featured products. MOR Cosmetics is claiming top honors in packaging design with their beautifully wrapped line of soaps (1), as is Charlotte Moss with her home fragrance collection for Agraria San Francisco (3). And an outfit isn't complete without a show-stopping cocktail ring like this hammered gold ring from Newport News (2).  These items are so captivating I just can't look away!

Rose Gold Rush

I'm in love with rose gold and I can't go another day without it!  If only I'd realized sooner there was another option besides silver and gold! Is it just me, or is rose gold too often forgotten?  Did you know that 18k rose gold is composed of 75% gold, 21% copper, and 4% silver? How fabulous!  No longer the underdog, rose gold suits up to be a major contender in the battle of the precious metals. The warmth and sheer beauty of rose gold is undeniable, yet completely unexpected.
