Bobbette & Belle
Bobbette & Belle is the frothiest, prettiest artisan pastry shop located in Toronto's Leslieville neighborhood. A friend and I were craving a cupcake while out and about on a gorgeous summer day, so we stopped in at Bobbette & Belle and it was the most pleasant experience! B+B is Toronto's go-to pastry shop for wedding cakes but you can also walk in to enjoy a fresh glass of raspberry lemonade and a $2.75 cupcake! Plus, you get to sit and enjoy your treat in the loveliest shop that only a master class wedding connoisseur could create. The treats alone are worth the visit, but the decor will make you want to stay awhile.

Photograph Table Runner
Image: Paper Tastebuds
A table runner made of old photographs randomly linked together. What a lovely idea! This is an excellent way to entertain guests as they eat and a great excuse to gush about happy memories. Perfect for an engagement party dinner setting or any dinner party with a smaller number of guests, because lord knows the longer the guest list, the longer the table runner - and the longer it'll take you to put together. Either way, this is a special idea for a special celebration!

Glass, Tin, Silver
You know what's boring? Traditional vases. I am inspired by the new trends in flower vases: glass bottles, tea tins, and silver pitchers or jars. Especially if the said trends are antique! The contrast between the plushness and vitality of flowers against the sleekness of glass and metal is striking and interesting. Popular for garden and country weddings, and perfect for cottage living - these arrangements are easy to create, can cost little, and really don't require much creative effort. Just grab an old bottle, empty tea tin, or that silver jar you never use and fill with flowers. I'm charmed!

Well Wishes Dishes
My friend is getting married this May, and while visiting her last weekend I flipped through her Martha Stewart Weddings Spring 2010 magazine and paused on page 53 to admire this plate wall. I later purchased my own copy of this issue, and hoped that the cute guy standing next to me at the newsstand didn't mistake me for a bride-to-be. I LOVE Martha Stewart Weddings; the mag is always loaded with unforgettable 'good things' like this signature plate wall. Having guests write on white plates to be later mounted on your wall is an exceptional replacement for a standard guest book. This way, when you walk into your kitchen you'll be struck by the whimsical beauty of your decorative plates, and always be reminded of well wishes. Thanks again Martha!

Weddingbells 25th Anniversary
Weddingbells is Canada's premier wedding magazine, helping 3.2 million Canadian style-conscious brides plan the wedding of their dreams. The special 25th anniversary spring & summer 2010 issue looks back on 25 years worth of timeless bridal fashions. The issue is jam packed with beauty, fashion, and planning tips, as well as $80,000 worth of contests and prizes, including a $25,000, 7 night stay at Jade Mountain resort in Saint Lucia! Be sure to pick up a copy on newsstands now.
This issue is extra special to me because my lovely best friend Hilary's wedding is featured in the mag! And guess what? I am too! As her Maid of Honor, I am super stoked to be seen on page 81 with the gorgeous bride and groom, and alongside my fellow Lela Rose wearing bridesmaids. What a treat! I'm pictured on the far right of the bridal party photo. Come on now, a little shameless self promotion never hurt anybody!
