Pardon Me!

Image: We Heart It

Pardon my language, but this is exactly what I'm gonna do! After a long and tiring winter and a less than stellar Spring, I'm vacating my life for 2 weeks and heading to the UK to visit dear friends. Plus, I'll be celebrating my 30th birthday in Italy! Be jealous, you have every right to be. I'll take lots of pictures and blog about my adventures when I return. Don't miss me too much!

House Picking

I went house picking last week; you know, in the event that I'd soon become a millionaire and could afford such an abode.  I spotted these beauties while I was out for a stroll with some friends in Toronto's prestigious Rosedale-Moore Park neighborhood.  My taste in architecture falls somewhere between Tudor Revival and Arts and Crafts, with dalliances in Georgian and Edwardian style homes. But trying to decide on an architecture style is like asking me what my favorite color is. I'll tell you any color with a blue undertone, which simply highlights the root of my indecisiveness: I'm still searching for my architecture undertone. I don't think 'pretty' or 'cozy' would suffice.

Dream Team

Vogue Paris May 2010

Look at this cover.  Doesn't it make you wish you and your best girlfriends were together on the cover of Vogue for no reason but for being awesome?  The team at Vogue must have had fun with this photo shoot.  I imagine they felt the same way I did when Jem and the Holograms first hit the stage in 1985.  Two words:  Girl. Power.  If I could shoot my own magazine cover, my dream team would include Meryl, Rachel, Sarah, Brigitte and Liv.  The combination of talent, beauty and magnetism these women possess is truly intoxicating.  Who's on your dream team?

Hosted by Summer

I'm ready for Summer.  If I'm lucky, maybe I'll be invited to one of her warm Summer night gatherings. Seriously, I'll even help decorate...

Met Gala Gorgeous

Ashley Olsen never looked better. Here she is wearing vintage Christian Dior couture at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala. Set against the sleek black bodice, those billowing sleeves are to die for! This look is so romantic; her bare shoulders framed by those sleeves and her softly unkept updo is so caliente! In this dress, a woman is saved, tended to and protected. Holy Harlequin romance novel!
