Blackbird Vintage

It's official. I'm in love with a boutique called Blackbird Vintage located in the Distillery District.  It showcases everything that vintage is loved for:  character and nostalgia.  I was in heaven perusing through the Christmas baubles, vintage vignettes and strategically placed antiques.  Everything in this shop is a vision - you'll want it all.  It was vintage with an edge.  L.O.V.E.  For more on Blackbird Vintage, click here

Putti Fine Furnishings

Allow me to introduce you to one of my favorite shops in Toronto called Putti. This store is cotton candy heaven. Walking into this shop is as though you've just stumbled into a magical chamber and you can't believe your eyes as you marvel at all the glittery treasures before you. To be fair, this is just one wing of the shop, but it's my favorite!  Putti is jam packed with all things French, pink and decadent! You'll find loads of antiques and giftware for every room in your house. The store's narrow walls and overflowing shelves add to its warmth and treasure trunk appeal. I always leave this shop with a twinkle in my eye.

stoRE envy

I found this fantastic, unique, wish-I-would-have-thought-it shop called RE, located in Corbridge, Northumberland, England.  I don't know why I get myself excited about a shop I'll likely never step foot in, but at least they have an online shop I can visit. I just love the concept for this store! Shop owners Simon and Jenny categorize their products by "REcent finds, some raRE or REmarkable, some REcycled, some REscued and REstored.  And the name RE? It's a found object itself. Two large metal letters bought in a Paris flea market" hang as the storefront sign.  Of course! How charmingly serendipitous.
